ONE Agency launches Windows Vista in Second Life with Praga Khan
The arrival of Windows Vista will be the biggest launch in the history of the company, according to Microsoft. And for the first time they will promote a Windows version in a virtual world. ONE Agency, in close cooperation with the Microsoft team, has set up a full programme to extend the launch party on January 30th 2007 to Second Life.
The live concert of Praga Khan, that Microsoft will also broadcast via MSN, is being streamed simultaneously to large screens in more then ten popular clubs Second Life. The event is promoted through a number of channels: the participating clubs who have installed branded screens well on beforehand, by means free and paying adverting on large click-able billboards, viraly through second life groups and finally some 'goodies' such as T-shirts were developed to support the event.
The full programme will reach over 30 000 avatars (Second Life citizens), and the ambition is to attract 500 avatars to actually see the concert. The technical infrastructure can host up to 2000 simultaneously Second Life citizens for the live event, so we're ready for more.
ONE Agency is particularly proud because this launch perfectly illustrates what we mean with "New Marketing". Rather then buying ourselves into the place, we offer the community a free concert, working together with existing community members, thus generating a positive vibe for the brand.
